DUTIES: A qualified teaching candidate will provide instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs. This teacher monitors student growth using the 8 step process, is competent using data collection models to assess and track student growth, and is able to integrate technology and the arts into instructional plans.  The teacher candidate will be an effective classroom manager, able to collaborate with teachers, work actively with students and parents and communicate academic necessities for student growth. COMPENSATION: 

Starting salary in the Empowerment Zone is the highest in the St. Joseph County area, and will be $44,880 for SY22-23. Compensation increases with experience, and education. For example, a teacher with 4 years of experience can earn $45,800, a teacher with 8 years of experience can earn $50,800.
